Kinney Surgical offers preventative maintenance (PM) for every type of surgical instrument including all types of arm supports, arm boards and other table attachments. This type of maintenance focuses on prolonging the lifespan of your instruments and preventing instrument failure while in the operating room. Our qualified technicians will offer explanations of the repairs and share detailed reports and photos from the master technician that worked on your arm supports, holders, boards, and more. Through our extensive QC process we’ll test each instrument to determine which parts need replacement or refurbishment. We are able to detect and replace damaged springs or gears in the locking mechanisms, detect stress in the metal, and weld any cracks prior to failure. We believe in utilizing the tried and true OEM manufacturing processes for maintenance and repairs instead of cutting corners or trying newly developed methods that have no proven track record of long term success. What do we repair on an arm support?

To assess the equipment for the repairs needed, our qualified technicians perform an intensive multipoint testing procedure that includes these 4 main areas that are likely to show the most wear and decreased functionality over time.
A: Spring Latch: We will manufacture new springs, and refurbish all surfaces.
B: Pad Replacement
C: Locking Mechanisms and Attachments: These parts will be refurbished, welded, or otherwise repaired.
D: Internal Cables and Connecting Rods: We replace or refurbish all part of the cables and connecting rods as needed for maximum functionality.
